Where I live in Mid-Michigan the Red Wing Blackbird is one of the true signs of spring arriving….the males arrive as the ice is melting and start to stake their claim to? a site near some water….often times just a ditch…you can drive down a road next to a ditch and every so often there will be a bird, then another and another….they are very territorial when you are near their zone….lol….love them…
